In Japan, Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba ordered the nation's refueling vessels to leave port within two to three weeks and resume its anti-terror mission in the Indian Ocean in five to six weeks.
His order followed a decision by the ruling party in the Japanese Parliament to override opposition legislators who thumbed down the bill in the upper chamber hours earlier.
